KYT KX-1 Race Helmet Overview

The KYT KX-1 Race helmet is designed and developed in Italy using advanced digital tools. It is built for riders who demand race-level performance. Ducati Corse factory rider Enea Bastianini tested this helmet at the highest level of competition.

Because of this development process, the KX-1 Race delivers excellent aerodynamics, protection, and comfort. It is trusted by professional riders worldwide. In fact, the KX-1 Race helmet is used in MotoGP™.

Aerodynamics and Field of Vision

The KX-1 Race helmet benefits from over three years of wind tunnel and track testing. As a result, it reduces drag and improves stability at high speeds. It performs well in multiple riding positions and lean angles.

Additionally, the helmet offers an expanded field of view. Riders get 92 degrees vertically and 210 degrees horizontally. Therefore, visibility remains clear and unobstructed during aggressive riding. The helmet also meets the highest FIM safety standards.

Shell Construction

The shell uses advanced TRICOMPOSITE fiber. This material keeps the helmet lightweight while increasing strength. It combines carbon fiber, fiberglass, and aramidic resins.

Because of this construction, the shell resists impacts while maintaining low weight. The KX-1 Race helmet is produced in three shell sizes: S, M, and XL. This improves fit and balance across sizes.

EPS Protection System

Inside the helmet, a multi-density EPS liner absorbs impact energy. The liner comes in three sizes: S, M, and XL. This improves comfort and safety.

While the outer shell absorbs most impact force, the EPS liner manages remaining energy. Different foam densities help control impact forces across the helmet. As a result, protection improves in all impact zones.

Visor and Optical Performance

The visor uses injected polycarbonate with an anti-scratch coating. It also features variable thickness for better clarity. Riders can remove the visor easily when needed.

In addition, a metal alloy release lever ensures a secure fit. The Racing Lock System reduces the risk of visor detachment during a crash. The visor also supports racing tear-offs.

Pinlock Compatibility

The KYT KX-1 Race helmet supports Pinlock® Max Vision 120. This system delivers excellent anti-fog performance. Therefore, visibility stays clear in cold or humid conditions.

Ventilation System

Ventilation plays a key role in rider comfort. The KX-1 Race helmet includes seven air intake ducts. These work with internal channels to move air efficiently.

At the rear, two submerged exhaust ports remove hot air. Meanwhile, the rear spoiler creates a Venturi effect. This helps pull heat out of the helmet during high-speed riding.

Interior Comfort and Safety

The interior liner and cheek pads are removable, washable, and replaceable. They use premium fabrics designed for performance riding. These materials wick moisture and stay soft and breathable.

Additionally, the cheek pads feature an emergency quick-release system. This improves safety in the event of an accident. The helmet is also prepared for a camel-bag hydration system, which is not included.

Retention System

The chin strap uses a double D-ring retention system. This system provides a secure fit and fast release. It also meets race and track-day requirements.
