Big News: Suspension Matters Is Leveling Up — Our Dynojet Is Almost Here

If you’ve been in the shop recently or stopped by for a quick check, you’ve probably felt the energy building — and here’s why: we’re launching in-house motorcycle dyno tuning in Los Angeles. At Suspension Matters in Azusa, we’re stepping into a new era of performance.

A Dynojet dynamometer is officially on its way.

Dyno tuning is the key to unlocking every ounce of performance your bike has been hiding — and we’re almost ready to put it to work.

Why This Changes Everything

For years, you’ve trusted us for suspension, setup, and getting your bike dialled for real‑world riding — canyon runs, freeway commutes, desert weekends out at Glamis Dunes. But when it comes to horsepower tuning, ECU refinement, and precision measurement, until now we’ve had to send you elsewhere — and honestly, that never sat right with me.

So we made the call: invest in the same level of tuning gear used by top race teams — then pair it with what we’ve got in‑house already.

That means my dad, JJ Matter — who has decades of ECU‑tuning experience, building maps for factory race teams in the AMA and MotoAmerica paddocks — is now right here at the shop. If you know him, you know he’s been tuning ECUs since before most shops even knew what an ECU was. He’s worked directly with race teams, riders, and manufacturers to wring out every last bit of performance while keeping things reliable under the toughest conditions. Having that level of knowledge in‑house — combined with a full dyno setup — is a game‑changer.

What is a dyno and why it matters

In simple terms: a dynamometer (or “dyno”) lets us simulate real‑ride conditions in a controlled space. It gives us accurate horsepower and torque numbers and shows exactly how your bike reacts when we tweak the tune.
For LA‑area riders — whether you’re carving up the Angeles Crest Highway, flowing through Topanga, commuting across the 10/210, or heading out for a weekend blast to Glamis — the difference between “good” and “dialled” becomes measurable.

What We’ll Be Able to Do With Our Dynojet

  • Fine‑tune ECUs with race‑proven precision: maps tailored to your bike + your style of riding.

  • Run full horsepower & torque pulls: verified numbers — no guesses, no myths.

  • Offer multiple stages of performance tuning: from baseline runs to advanced custom builds designed around your bike and your riding style (canyon, commuter, desert, whatever you ride).

Whether you’re prepping for a canyon run from Azusa up the Crest, or getting the bike ready for a desert weekend out at Glamis, this tech means your ride won’t just look better on paper — it’ll feel better on the throttle, the corners, and when you punch it.

A Sneak Peek Behind the Scenes

Right now, the dyno room is under construction. We’re engineering proper airflow, building a negative‑pressure system, and treating the space so that our dyno runs are clean, consistent, and safe.

It’s a project.
A big one.
But it’s the kind of project that pushes the entire shop forward.

Once everything is dialled, this space will become the heartbeat of the performance side of Suspension Matters.

Here’s Why You Should Be Excited

Whether you’re:

  • chasing lap times or canyon confidence,

  • commuting around LA traffic and want smoother throttle, better response, less hassle,

  • prepping for a weekend desert adventure (hello Glamis!),

  • or simply want the satisfaction of knowing your bike is running at its absolute best — this dyno opens that door.

With JJ’s tuning experience and our new equipment, we’re bringing the gap between “local shop” and “factory‑level performance” right here in the San Gabriel Valley. Because a perfectly tuned motorcycle doesn’t just go faster — it becomes smoother, sharper, more responsive. It becomes your bike. And now, we can build that for you in‑house.

When Can You Book a Session?

We’re a couple of weeks out. Once the equipment is fully installed, calibrated, and tested, we’ll open the schedule for:

  • ECU tuning appointments

  • Baseline horsepower pulls

  • Multi‑stage tuning packages

  • Before‑and‑after performance comparisons

  • Group dyno days and special events

If you want first dibs, keep an eye on our page or swing by the shop — early slots will go fast.

Suspension Matters Is Evolving — And This Is Just the Beginning

This shop started with a simple mission: deliver honest, high‑level motorcycle work that riders can trust. Bringing a Dynojet in‑house—and pairing it with JJ’s factory‑race‑team tuning expertise—isn’t just an upgrade. It’s a commitment to raising the bar for every rider who walks through our doors.

The countdown starts now.

Thanks for being part of this ride with me — I’m stoked to roll the first bike onto the drum.

Ride safe, see you on the twisties,
— Ryan

A: Nope. We’ll run baseline for stock bikes. If you’ve added slip‑ons, intake, big mods, we’ll dial them in and show you the gains.

Q: How long will the session take?
A: It depends on service level—typically 1–2 hours for baseline; more for multi‑stage custom packages.
