My friend had recommended to get the suspension tuned for my ZX6r at Suspension Matters. Suspension was tuned by JJ and man, he is the GOAT. Very friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. As a new rider, I am glad I got my suspension tuned, not only did it help with my front brakes but overall everything feels much better. Highly recommend to get your suspension tuned first(even before getting that new slip on LOL).
A week later I had taken my Ninja to the shop again to get an aftermarket header put on. Great service from JJ and the team. I’m glad I found shop for literally all my motorcycle needs.
Will be going there again on June 22nd to get a tune done by Ryan.

I needed better fork springs for my 2022 Triumph Speed Twin without breaking the bank. SM came through with custom springs and spacers for my weight/riding style. Ryan was meticulous about getting it right, and then setting the static sag. So great!

Father and son team, both are really knowledgeable and perform top quality work. I’ve dropped my bike off twice and they’ve fixed my issues both times. They stand by their work for 6 months after that. Haven’t had to use that because they do it right the first time. Their prices are very fair. I have a ton of respect for Suspension Matters and will keep taking my bike there.

Got my Honda suspension dialed in for me today and wow… best upgrade ever 🔥
The bike literally feels brand new. Completely different riding experience now — way more stable, smoother, and the corners feel amazing.
Before, I felt every little bump in the road, and every lane divider made the bike wobble around like jelly. I was even getting some wobble in the bars because of it. Now I barely feel bumps or road markings at all — it honestly feels like I’m riding on a smooth road. The handlebars feel planted and solid in turns instead of shaky.
I honestly had no idea a suspension setup could change the bike this much. I’m SO happy with it ❤️

I follow this shop on social media and was in the state with my newest bike.
I stopped in for a suspension setup.
The next day I went back to do some readjustments but we both knew I needed front fork springs in order to get the bike right for my weight.
They were happy to help me get it done same day.
JJ got to work on it smooth and fast.
I was able to hangout and wait for it.
Then made the long ride back to AZ.
Very knowledgeable friendly and happy to answer any questions. They also offer warranty.

I arrived to get a quote on fork seals and fork oil change and I was told they can do it while I wait which was awesome and on top of that it was cheaper than the dealer. They offer other bike services which I will use in near future what a gem of a shop for motorcycles…ten stars if I could.

I brought my RS 660 Extrema in for a suspension tune and spring upgrade, plus some setup work, and the difference is night and day. JJ and the team listened to what I wanted (aggressive street + track), weighed me with gear, set sag perfectly, and handed the bike back dialed with clear clicker notes. The bike now feels planted, stable on the brakes, and drives off corners harder with less lean angle—exactly what I was after. I took it to the track and had the best sessions I’ve ever had. Turn-in is confident, mid-corner is calm, and the rear stays hooked up. Fast turnaround, fair pricing, and real attention to detail. JJ & company are top-notch and my new home for anything bike-related. Highly recommended.

Suspension Matters was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable getting my Ninja 500 ready for the CVMA racing season. My Bitubo forks needed stiffer springs but there were none currently in America due to tariffs. They got a set to work from another manufacturer. Getting me all dialed-in less than a week before the race season. I bought a R3 race bike that the previous owner said Suspension Matters set it up. I was able to immediately win on that bike without touching the suspension. Looking forward to seeing what my bike setup just for me can do! If you want a race winning suspension set up these are your guys!

This is about my fourth time bringing in my bike and let me tell you that JJ and Dan always take care of me and my bike. The quality of their service is top tier and you won’t regret taking your motorcycle for anything that needs to be taken care of. They’ll ensure you that after taking your motorcycle in everything will get taken care of and established how you would like which quoting you before performing the work and letting you know ahead of time, the cost of what needs to be done and the cost of labor. I have brought my bike in for different types of services whether it’s oil change, brake fluid change, suspension, installation parts, and cooling system change. After every pickup, I’ve never felt disappointed with the quality of service that I paid for, they make it feel like a brand new motorcycle.

Took my 2021 Kawi Z900RS Cafe with rear shock upgraded to Wilbers on Saturday 09/19/2025.
Met Ryan and JJ, nice folks. 30 minutes in and out, took the bike for a quick spin around corners near my home.. oh my… it’s like on rails on corners!! It no longer fights me like before..

If you ride, you need more than a good mechanic. You need a rider who knows the feel of a bike, a craftsman whose welds could be in the Smithsonian, and that’s JJ at Suspension Matters. I’ve got a 2013 BMW F800GS with 63,000 miles on it. My chain was toast, so after grabbing a new one from another shop in Montclair, I called JJ for the first time. We booked an appointment for the next morning at 10, and he handled the chain install like a pro, meticulous work, all the right tools, and yeah, the guy’s ripped.
The shop has a great vibe. Bikes everywhere, racing memorabilia on the walls, and JJ is the kind of craftsman you just don’t see anymore. Word is his son is pretty damn fast too. I’m stoked he’s local to Duarte, because I’ll be bringing my bike back here. JJ does it all, and he’s a suspension expert across every motorcycle style. If you ride, you know how important dialed suspension is … it’s the difference between feeling confident enough to send it or not.
You’ll find him in the alley behind the gas station on Todd and Foothill, right across from Costco. Look for the airplane hangar-style garage. Tell him Bryan Dorsey sent you. 💯🎤🏁

JJ and Ryan were super professional. They explained -in detail- what the suspension does in specific scenarios, and how it affects the bike. I brought my bike in for a fork/shock service, and they kindly explained to me that I wasn’t in need of new springs (thankfully), and that the turn around time would be just 1 day! I had previously done a suspension setup with them, but because I was rusty at riding and my suspension was tired, it was hard to tell if it was working well. I can only imagine [soon] how nice a freshly rebuilt suspension setup will feel. They also do servicing at track events, which is where you really should be getting your suspension tuned. If you’re looking for trusted, knowledgeable suspension gurus, Suspension Matters is the place.

If you ride, you need more than a good mechanic. You need a rider who knows the feel of a bike, a craftsman whose welds could be in the Smithsonian, and that’s JJ at Suspension Matters. I’ve got a 2013 BMW F800GS with 63,000 miles on it. My chain was toast, so after grabbing a new one from another shop in Montclair, I called JJ for the first time. We booked an appointment for the next morning at 10, and he handled the chain install like a pro, meticulous work, all the right tools, and yeah, the guy’s ripped.
The shop has a great vibe. Bikes everywhere, racing memorabilia on the walls, and JJ is the kind of craftsman you just don’t see anymore. Word is his son is pretty damn fast too. I’m stoked he’s local to Duarte, because I’ll be bringing my bike back here. JJ does it all, and he’s a suspension expert across every motorcycle style. If you ride, you know how important dialed suspension is … it’s the difference between feeling confident enough to send it or not.
You’ll find him in the alley behind the gas station on Todd and Foothill, right across from Costco. Look for the airplane hangar-style garage. Tell him Bryan Dorsey sent you. 💯🎤🏁

Had to get my fork seals and tubes worked on. And JJ did an amazing job at a fair price! He is very knowledgeable at what he does, and I am glad I found this place. I highly recommend.

JJ and Ryan were super professional. They explained -in detail- what the suspension does in specific scenarios, and how it affects the bike. I brought my bike in for a fork/shock service, and they kindly explained to me that I wasn’t in need of new springs (thankfully), and that the turn around time would be just 1 day! I had previously done a suspension setup with them, but because I was rusty at riding and my suspension was tired, it was hard to tell if it was working well. I can only imagine [soon] how nice a freshly rebuilt suspension setup will feel. They also do servicing at track events, which is where you really should be getting your suspension tuned. If you’re looking for trusted, knowledgeable suspension gurus, Suspension Matters is the place.

I got quotes from Bert’s, m1, and several other highly recommended shops for my fork seal replacement—called Suspension matters and they quoted me literally half the price for the same work.
